The Opportunity

This position is an onsite opportunity in the Abbott Diabetes Care Division. We are helping people with Diabetes lead healthier, happier lives. As Manager, Sales Incentive Compensation Administration, you will be responsible for administration of our incentive compensation management (ICM) system, distribution of incentive compensation plans and goals/quotas for multiple sales channels, ICM data hygiene, and reconciling payout calculations to ensure alignment with Finance and applicable cross-functional teams. You have a passion for sales compensation management, vendor management, project organization, data hygiene, process automation, and system administration with strong incentive compensation analysis experience at a high-growth organization. Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple high-priority projects are a must. This position will report directly to the Senior Manager, Sales Administration and Incentives. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate who is looking to join a dynamic Commercial Excellence team at an outstanding Global Leader in diabetes care.

What You'll Do

  • Understand current incentive compensation plans for multiple sales and field-based teams and manage our inventory of compensation plan templates to streamline the distribution and signing process for all participants.
  • Manage day-to-day activities for IC Plans including goal or quota creation, distribution, and communication.
  • Maintain data accuracy within our Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) tool and ensure the timely delivery of all quarterly variable compensation payout amounts to Finance & Payroll for processing.
  • Train Sales Leadership, Sales Management, and field personnel on ICM platform
  • Coordinate with internal IS, external service vendors and providers to effectively implement new systems in support a changing competitive marketplace.
  • Ensure compliance to all IC Plans and policies - including but not limited to SOX guidelines, OEC guidelines, and the Abbott Code of Business Conduct.
  • Partner with appropriate cross-functional teams to ensure applicable data compliance related to sales incentive bonus compensation.
  • Act as one of the point of contacts/liaisons for field reps and leadership related to incentive compensation such as inquiry resolution/exception management, reports standardized and ad-hoc.
  • Maintain our variable compensation roster to understand changes related to new hires, transfers, promotions, and terminations, and proactively administer compensation plans appropriately.
  • Perform routine audits of sales incentive bonus payouts to ensure accuracy.
  • Ensure the integrity of all vendors provided data in support of commercial field operations.

Experience You'll Bring

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Data Analytics or similar field preferred.
  • 5-7 years of direct work experience in sales incentive compensation and/or system administration, sales analytics function, preferably in the Med-Device/Pharma/Bio-Tech industry experience related to sales compensation.
  • Strong understanding of sales compensation fundamentals such as goal-based incentive plan, quota targets, SPIFFs, accelerations, draw programs, etc.
  • Experience with managing an ICM tool such as Performio, Zeidyn Field Performance, SalesIQ, Xactly, CaptivateIQ, or QuotaPath preferred.
  • Experience with reporting and data analytics tools like Excel, SAS, QlikView, Tableau, Business objects required.
  • Experience with data management, vendor and project management/organization.
  • Experience with 3rd party medical sales data like IMS and Symphony Health.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with partners and lead peers.
  • Demonstrated ability to structure and conduct analyses to generate insight and recommendations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, detail oriented with focus on quality and accuracy.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, experienced in interacting with Sales management team and field personnel.
  • Proven track record of working effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize multiple deliverables at one time.
  • Knowledge of DocuSign or other similar CLM tool preferred.
